The Challenge
The Electric House legacy website was built on the Magento 1 platform and the client was looking to leverage the latest feature of Magento 2 platform, especially around website speed and performance. Moreover, they wanted to build a customized eCommerce solution that could cater to the needs of their modern customers, boost online sales and revenue margins, and deliver personalized experiences.
The Electric House studied that in the field of electrical products and solutions, digitization or digital transformation was still not a priority. However, with more and more B2B and B2C businesses adopting eCommerce as an alternative revenue and customer service channel, The Electric House envisioned to offer its customers differentiating web experiences while facilitating the online selling of its products and therefore accomplish complete digital transformation.
THE GOAL
Their goal was to develop an agile, scalable, flexible, and ROI-driven eCommerce platform that takes into account their customer’s desires and provides them a seamless experience throughout their journey. Moreover, a key objective of this revamped online presence was to effortlessly and effectively convert its offline customers into online and make it an easy and flexible experience for them. In the B2B market, as this is a very challenging undertaking, The Electric House wished to adopt the Adobe Commerce platform to simplify the designing of such web experiences while fulfilling its KPIs of online sales.
Therefore, they wanted to migrate to the Magento 2 platform, leverage all its key features and capabilities, and develop a competitive B2B eCommerce experience that bridged the gap between offline and online purchasing of its products for its customers.
